  • We accept most hardcover and paperback books in good condition, including a wide variety of genres.

    To be accepted, books should:

    • Be free of moisture or water damage

    • Be free of strong odors (such as smoke or mildew)

    • Have no torn covers or pages

    • Have an undamaged spine

    • No excessive handwriting or highlighting

    We also accept a limited number of reference books and textbooks, depending on current demand.

    Please note: Because recycling oversized and heavy books is costly, we may return these items to you if we don't believe we'll be able to sell them.

    Our free loyalty program is linked to your phone number, making it easy to earn and redeem points every time you visit.

    • Spend $1, earn 1 point

    • Earn points when you donate books (0–5 points per book based on condition, quality, and demand)

    • 10 points = $1 off your purchase

    • Points can be stacked (30 points = $3 off, 50 points = $5 off, 100 points = $10 off, etc.!)

  • Processing your donation takes 7-10 days. We process each donation by hand to ensure fair credit is given to each customer. Because of this, and our small team, we ask for your patience as we thoughtfully fulfill this process.

Answers to some of our most popular questions.

  • No. We do not purchase books from individuals, but we do offer store credit through our Loyalty Rewards Program.

  • Bring your books to the store during donation hours (Friday–Sunday, during store hours). Our team will review your donation during the week when we are closed, and assign points to your loyalty account based on the books you donate.

  • Please allow up to 10 days for processing. Because of our small team and review process, we aren't able to evaluate donations during store hours.

  • Each accepted book is worth 0–5 loyalty points based on:

    • Condition

    • Popularity and relevance

    • Current inventory needs

    • Overall value

  • Books should be clean and in good condition. We cannot accept books with:

    • Strong odors or smoke damage

    • Moisture or water damage

    • Torn or missing pages

    • Excessive writing or highlighting

  • We're always looking for books our customers want to read. Current, popular titles are more likely to receive points than outdated or highly saturated books.

  • Books that don't meet our donation guidelines are responsibly recycled at our expense.

  • We'll send you a text or email once your donation has been processed and your loyalty points have been added to your account.

  • Yes. Donation points are added directly to your free Loyalty Rewards account, which is linked to your phone number.
